POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking a dynamic and successful Sales Manager to grow their revenue in the Northeast region and sell their solution to pharmaceutical laboratories.
This position will report directly to the Country Manager. It will be based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (no home office).
Responsibilities:
- Define North America sales strategy to ensure increased sales revenue for territory: develop territory sales plan and coordinate prospection effort.
- Meet quarterly and yearly sales objectives for the Northeast territory – ensure prospecting, on‐the ground sales, demonstration, negotiation and customer follow‐up. Identify and qualify prospect and use own rolodex. Visit clients on a regular basis and communicate company’s commitment to excellence.
- Attend a variety of sales situations such as customer meetings, trade shows, press briefings, potential partner meetings.
- Provide management on a timely manner with accurate pipeline and forecast.
REQUIREMENTS
5 to 10 years of professional experience. A good knowledge of the pharma industry and of the clinical trials area in particular. Experience selling solutions/services to Medical Directors and Clinical Trials Directors. Minimum 3 years experience within a e‐crf solution provider or CRO. Track record of achieving quota >$2M. Ability to work autonomously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Computer skills including MS Office and CRM Systems. Possess an assertive, disciplined, consultative demeanor with an appetite for challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Should demonstrate a strong ability to work autonomously and provide structured and regular reporting. Proven capacity to close deals and achieve objectives.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel 50 to 70% of the time is required. Some international travel required.
